So I've got a colostomy bag, courtesy of that.

But even amongst all of that, I just had the most amazing care in hospital.
The nurses, the healthcare workers, the cleaners, the doctors, everyone I dealt with, I just looked at with such, like, respect.
And it didn't matter what role they had within the health sector, whether it was the cleaner who was coming into my room on the daily, always having a chat to me.
And
Or the surgeon who's doing like the high-end stuff.
It gave me a lot of time to sort of reflect and think, wow, we've got some pretty special people in this world who do some epic stuff.
And they don't get a pat on the back for it often.
It's pretty wicked for an 18-year-old, isn't it?
To have such an insight.
And, yeah, the way she, yeah.
Yep, I do.
Probably more so with Maddie, who's my eldest, and she's a girl.
Girls tend to be a little bit more open to conversations.
Not always.
Jackson's a lot more closed.
He kind of keeps everything a little bit more internalised, which worries me at times because he needs an outlet and he needs to know that it's okay.
to be emotional and to be upset and it's the processing.
They're trying to process all of this and it's pretty big stuff for them to process.
