So I was kind of ready to leave.

Yeah.

I was 20.

I knew I'd get kicked out of home.

I knew I'd get kicked out of the cult for two years.

So I was like, that's my out.

So I'd written them this letter.

I hadn't given it to them yet.

And then I had already booked tickets.

We would have these end of year church camps in different states because it was sort of scattered all over Australia.

So I had gone away for the church camp.

So the idea was I'd go away and then I would come back, give my parents the letter, leave.

And I was just so lonely by that point.

Like I was just really desperately lonely.

I couldn't wait to get out from underneath my parents.

Of working full time.

My parents would get me to pay rent to live at home.

And like there was just... Yeah, I had no help from my parents to thrive or get into my life.

You know, I was paying rent.

I had to buy my first car on my own.
