So, you know, I just wanted to share with you something that I've been doing recently that has really been challenging for me, but been beautiful to work on.
I don't know about you, but I have grown up as a Christian, walked with Jesus for a very long time, and I've had different seasons in my life of walking with him and what that looks like.
And I think in my more recent years,
I've thought of like, you know what, if I just pray the right thing or if I pray really, really specifically, then God will answer me in the way that I want.
Or then I'll get the results that I'm hoping for if I just pray correctly or if I pray more spiritually or whatever.
And I'm realizing now how wrong that is.
Like God doesn't want our...
intellectual prayers.
He doesn't want that.
He wants our full surrender to him.
He wants us to surrender to him intellectually, emotionally, physically, spiritually.
He wants the full surrender.
He wants us to let go of our pride of maybe being so smart or being like, yeah, I prayed this way.
And so that's why this is happening.
Like that is so prideful.
And I'm kicking myself in the pants for it of thinking that way.
Like it can be fun and cool to pray, you know, in sort of an intellectual manner or like feeling like you're covering all your bases.
You're not missing anything.
Like, but it's not about us.
It's not about how smart we are or how we pray or whatever.
