You know, that's where we got the hippies from, yada, yada, yada.

But with the high density and culturally fleeting events of the 2020s,

So it wasn't like the counterculture movements of the 1960s where it was focused on, you know, like the Vietnam War, just like military in general.

Now, I think like the numbness and cynicism that the 2020s has spawned.

It could be anything from seeing a murder in the news to war.

And I just read this book that I want to bring up because I think it talks about a parallel issue that I think either caused or is somewhat responsible for the numbness that so many people feel in terms of looking at the world that they live in.

So in Hyperpolitics, which is a book by Anton Jaeger, Jaeger, I don't know, whenever there's a J, but like the name is like kind of European sounding.

I don't know if it's a yeah or a yeah.

In the book, he coins the term hyperpolitics as extreme politicization without political consequences.

So what the fuck does that mean?

I like and even like that's the official title of the book.

The cover just says hyper politics because like, damn, what a mouthful.

But to summarize it bleakly, and you might agree with this, disagree with this, all political movements of this decade

have fizzled out without any lasting impact.

And that might sound crazy, especially since like we have been living in some of the most political decade or years of like, you know, recent memory.

I'm sure most people, well, no, of the past like 50 years, like since the 60s, essentially.

And my immediate reaction upon reading it was like, no, no, no, no, no.

Surely that that like can't be true.
