And then you know I go lighter on weight as I start to go downwards.
So kind of think of it as a pyramid.
I start from the very top and I work my way down.
And I find that much more effective for strength because if you think about it, you're putting much more weight um at first.
From a load perspective, so you can typically crank out a much higher peak of that weight.
So let's just say, you know, if I start off at you know 250 on a bench press, you know, and I and I go up to 270, and then I'm I'm fatigued, I'm out, and 270 is my max or 275, you know, and then and then I have to go down from there.
Instead, I'm doing like 285 for six to eight, you know, and I'm hitting those fast switches.
Slow twitch musc muscle fibers, and then I'm exploding those those slow twitch muscle fibers with lower weights because I'm continuously pushing it out.
And that's just what always has been effective for me.
It's just easy for me to remember.
And what I also notice is you know, I can I can go up in weight pretty substantially faster doing that pyramid model because my strength is built up much faster because I'm having um heavier weights under load.
So you know, either way works fine.
There's no wrong
Answer.
As long as you're pushing your muscles to where you can't push out anymore and you're fatiguing them, you know, both ways are superior in every single way.
I just find it easier for me.
I I I load the weight that I'm gonna lift and then I just start going down, you know, 10 pounds in each weight, you know, and and I keep going down and down and down and down until you know I let you know I usually start off um on my push days, um, I start off with uh, you know, um my uh inclined bench press.
Uh on the
Smith machine, any kind of Smith bench.
And um, you know, I usually load up, you know, around you know, 285 um, you know, to start off with on there.
