So he's a guy that I think knows, they know could give them a little bit of length, has been a traditional starter the whole season, coming off a season where he threw 120-something innings, I want to say, and has...
you know, that built-in kind of durability and length in him.
So, you know, maybe it would be Dallas if he was in a slightly different spot.
Maybe it still is Dallas.
I don't know.
But it feels like it would be a lot to push Dallas into that spot before he's fully reached his kind of progression or fully built up his โ
workload you could go back to one of the two guys that you went to I mean votes got a lot of big league experience so does Fleming more as a reliever but does have a lot of big league experience too but I just have this feeling that maybe they give Van Eyck a shot because they've seen the other two guys and and Van Eyck is someone who a couple years back they drafted very high so they might still be a little bit more invested in than maybe some of the the players they picked up in free agency recently.
Yeah, I think there's a couple factors.
I mean, you brought a good one up to me.
David Schneider probably better served than others.
If you're looking at someone that's a candidate to be sent down, how can they benefit from getting everyday at-bats, and is there a chance that that's going to
change them or help them get back on track to help the big league club later in the year.
Schneider's probably arguably your best candidate for that, considering what he did last year, his lack of playing time.
I mean, he was hardly getting at bats anyway, to be honest.
And then his struggles right now, which weren't necessarily super swing intake related, although they want him to swing more in the zone.
You know, a lot of he was just missing some pitches, I thought, as well.
So maybe some rhythm probably is a good thing.
For him, now it creates some odd stuff with the roster.
I mean, we were talking about it live on air yesterday.
They didn't exactly have much to pinch hit against lefties.
