I don't know how to do that.

That's not my problem.

That's somebody else's problem.

And I don't think anyone now, partly this is because of mobile, I don't think anyone thinks like that anymore.

Should you learn to code?

No, I think you should find out if you want to learn how to code.

I think this is like saying, should you learn an instrument?

Or should you, you know, go take theatre classes?

That may or may not be what you should be doing.

Of course, what does learned code need in 10 years time?

That's a different question.

But should you, I don't think you should presume you will or won't be a software engineer.

I think you should presume that you will need to be curious and that you'll have many careers and different kinds of jobs.

I think you should be focusing on learning how to think.

But I think you should be presuming that everything will change.

So every now and then I'm slightly perplexed to get an email asking for career advice, because I think if you looked at my LinkedIn and I sort of.

Company shut down, company shut down, company shut down, like lasted a year there, that didn't work.

Coming from the UK and seeing the US system, I never really liked the US idea that like, if you want a good job, you should be doing maths and business and engineering.

Now, that may be how people hire students here.

But I never liked the idea that, like, studying philosophy or studying history or studying literature is useless because you're learning about history.
