And it took a long time.

She has such a perspective.
And that song had such a perspective.
And I remember when she got nominated for Song of the Year at the Grammys.
I was just like, wow.
In that moment, it didn't click for me.
I was like, wow, this song could have been anyone else's.
And who...
I don't even know if it would have become what it became because it felt so real coming from her.
And yeah, of course I could have taken that low hanging fruit and had the song come out with like some established artists, but there's nothing like breaking a new artist.
She was a brand new artist, like plucked out of obscurity.
This was the first song she ever released.
And then it becomes the number one hit on radio and it's getting nominated for a Grammys.
