Smokey P. Smokey P. His nickname was Smokey P. Smokey P. You can imagine what sort of things he likes to smoke.
You can hear him scratching his way along the pier, eh?
He comes up and he was with his mate and they're just sort of watching him fish for a little while.
And he's like, what are you guys up to?
And he goes, oh, he's looking for seagulls.
So apparently there's a rehab down there.
They're in rehab trying to be not so smokey pee.
And so they don't... Funnily enough, there's no drug tests in the world for seagull farts.
So...
So it's like, it's the crazy thing, like the methane, like, so they've got to be dead and decomposing and then they suck the gases out of it and he's like, oh, if they're bloated or they're popped, it's no good.
It's got to be festering inside it.
And then their other theory was if they couldn't find any dead seagulls, they'd find some cat shit and put it in a bottle and huff it.
So anyway, we found the seagull and it was the biggest night I've ever had.
That's a gateway bird as well.
Next thing you're down in Dunedin looking for albatross.
