The question is, how does it affect next year?

The long goodbye doesn't always work well in sport, in coaching, in dressing rooms.

Players tend to just be focused on what's best for them rather than actually a testimonial year.

And they don't give a shit about that.

It's what's best for them.

So that's going to be interesting how that plays out.

I think from a Leinster point of view I wouldn't do what Munster did which was immediately sign all the assistant coaches to show stability like there's stability in Leinster you know let the new man be able to put his own shape on it because you've seen now just use Munster for example Stewart's a little bit different because he coaches both sides of the ball he had a lot of young coaches that he wants to bring through whereas I think the worst thing you could do is basically find your head coach and say here's your staff

You know, and they're all contracted.

I don't think there's need to panic on that, which I think Munster did.

And obviously we see now there's been changes to the staff.

So that's just something that I'd be fascinated to see what they do because all the Leinster coaches are off next summer from what I understand.

So there's a real chance to completely freshen it up and probably after 12 years.

even though obviously you've got Jacques and you've had you know Tyler come in probably if you're a player you're probably excited by a new broom really you know new set of ideas new philosophy new way of training and then you mix that with obviously the stability with Ireland so the players know they're going to get a lot of stability with Andy Farrell for a long period a new coach coming into Leinster I think it's exciting

Yeah.

I saw him in school and he was, he was very confident and brought that to his performances.

And obviously it's been a absolute, you know, whirlwind rise, you know, from where he's got to getting those caps for Ireland, being part of a triple crown, being the woman of starter in Leinster, you know, when he was competing with Frawley, Ross, Harry, and obviously fired back them for a long time.

Then he had that dip and look,

it was clearly there was a dip and his form dropped and his confidence got rocked and that often happens they call it second season syndrome it's probably really his third season that it happened and as Johnny Sexton always say we're great in Ireland at hyping players up and then after a while we try and say oh he can't do that he can't do that he can't do that

But just those three games, obviously coming back off the loss in Bordeaux, which he wasn't involved in, to play that game against Lyons, which as Keith says, Leinster were completely on the front foot.

And then obviously you had that battle with the Stormers, which was quite a tactical battle, very tight.
