But life at the orphanage at Abbotsford Convent, I'm sure, was not just all beauty and pomp of ritual.

What sorts of jobs did the nuns set for you before and after school?

Let's bear in mind you're about 10 or 11 at this stage.

At that stage, I would have been closer to 11 and a half, 12.
