Republicans point out that both ICE and CBP were already pre-funded via the one big beautiful bill which passed last summer.
And they say they plan to give both agencies a whole lot more cash in an upcoming reconciliation bill in the coming weeks and months.
That won't require any Democratic votes to pass in the Senate.
And President Trump says he wants that bill on his desk by June 1st at the latest.

Reaction has been pouring in from Congress, and for the most part, Republicans are praising the strikes while Democrats are condemning them.
But at least one Republican announced his opposition to the strikes.
That would be Congressman Thomas Massey.
He posted, quote, I'm opposed to this war.
This is not America first.
When Congress reconvenes, I will work with Congressman Ro Khanna to force a congressional vote on war with Iran.
Meanwhile, Senator John Fetterman once again breaking from his party, saying he supports President Trump's attack on Iran.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer now calling for Congress to return to the Hill immediately to vote on a war powers resolution on Iran to limit Trump's authority.
Now, all of this happening in the context of a middle of a DHS shutdown.
