He's a very supportive teammate to the other goaltender.

And I've seen situations where that's not been the case.

In Philly and elsewhere, truthfully.

So Ladar is a tremendous team guy.

And then I think the third part of that, too, is that...

He said a career high in games played, which he played a lot of minutes, and he showed that he didn't wear down.

So he showed he had more durability than I think people thought was in him.

So as long as he continues that and add Joseph Wall into that, then I actually think goaltending is a strength for the team.

I don't think it specifically had to do with Gauthier, but I do think that part of the Flyers' calculus on this, and obviously they got matched so it didn't work, but part of the calculus on it was that Anaheim still has to sign Gauthier.

He's restricted this summer, was not eligible for an offer sheet, but basically it's a situation where Kurt Overhart now has a loaded gun in his hands, right?

I don't know if the rumors on Spittin' Chicklets are accurate that he's not going to take less than $18 million himself, just because he's not eligible for an offer sheet, so that's less likely.

But if he goes short-term to maximize his leverage, then no.

So I think that figures... Also, Sanecki figures into it longer-term, too, because they're going to want to extend him a year early.

I mean, I don't think Pat Verbeek handled particularly Carlton very well.

I think he ended up costing Anaheim tens of millions of dollars, honestly, over the next few years when you figure out what he also has to pay in.

But I mean...
