Right.
Well, it's sort of like what happened during COVID with the school teachers' unions.
They became one big bloc.
They became very powerful.
They became important to the governor in terms of getting elected.
And then they started calling the shots in terms of closing or when to reopen with COVID.
You did damage to the students, you did damage to the populace, but they're sort of become in charge.
And the governor can't say to them, sorry, back off, go back to work.
I'm running this state.
He cannot run afoul of them.
So now you have government officials doing the bidding of these groups, essentially.
Small, but I'll give you a small and interesting example.
Leaf blowers are illegal in Los Angeles.
They drive me nuts.
And they put out more pollution.
I don't know what the study is, but literally one two-stroke gas-powered leaf blower puts out more carbon and more pollution than a full-size Ford pickup truck does in like five years.
It's really stunning how polluting they are.
And...
They outlawed them.
They made them illegal in 1999.
