Well, any day of the week, you can wake up and look and see gas-powered leaf blowers up and down the street.
So they're outlawed.

They will write you up for everything.

Try building without a permit in Los Angeles.
Try adding a deck on without a permit.
They'll write you up.
No tickets given ever to the leaf blowers.
And the answer is they tried to enforce the law.
They didn't like the optics of the poor Mexican gardeners.
