Both those things happen in the end zone.
Why does no one want to call a safety?
It was a safety, and they got it wrong.
And Jake Ferguson did not commit OPI, and they got that wrong, too.
So, you know, if we're going to overreact to what we saw on Thursday Night Football, I guess I don't know.
would have survived that game, we would be having a different conversation than the one we're having.

But I guess that's why.
Here's the other thing about safety.

Explain to me how we came up so short that we had to use the word safety to describe two things in football.
I get it with the position, the position of safety.
It's the last line of defense.

It's the opposite of safe.
