That's what it's all about.
The service I grew up on in the 70s and the 80s is far different than the services now.
And as you say, looking back on the numbers we just described earlier, it seems to be working.
First of all, I wasn't looking for a job at the time.
I was very, very happy.
I worked in the Irish Aviation Authority for 29 years at that stage.
So I had a very successful career in the Irish Aviation Authority.
And then an agency reached out to me and asked me, would I be interested in becoming the CEO of Dublin Bus?
I wasn't even aware that it was advertised at the time.
And then I got into the process with no expectations, to be honest with you.
And the more involved I got in the process, the more interested I became in the organisation itself.
And then when I was made an offer, it was really an offer that I couldn't refuse.
Growing up in Dublin, being a Dub myself, you know, the brand of Dublin Bus was very significant to me.
I would have been a bus user myself.
It's one of those brands that's just in our lives all the time.
And everywhere you look, no matter where you are walking in the city, you'll see a Dublin Bus asset.
You know, there's Dublin Buses everywhere.
So, you know, to see an organisation of that scale, of that size, the amount of reach it has with regards to its customers, I've just seen a fantastic opportunity for myself to grow in a different way than I was in the Irish Aviation Authority.
The Irish Aviation Authority was very much, you know, a business to business sort of relationship.
Whereas when I go into Dublin Bus, it's very much business.
