And what we do with our labor force statistics and all our labor statistics is we actually do small revisions to actually make sure that our labor force figures are

in mind with those population figures.

So you get a small amount of um of revisions that flow through rather than these large scale revisions that you see in some other countries.

Yeah, that's a really good question.

And and labor market information in Australia is some of the most timely information.

So in in terms of could it be faster, that's always something that we're that we're looking at.

Um but a lot of this is really hot off the press.

So you and I are having this conversation uh on the the twelfth of September.

Uh we've only just recently finished up uh doing the the interviews for August.

pouring over the data and the data will be released next week.

So in order to make sure that we have uh as representative information as possible, we try to get as many people in the sample responding as as possible.

So in Australia we have uh a three week collection period uh where we're collecting information in respect of two weeks.

So some countries will do it in respect of one week.

Over the decades, we've always looked at two weeks because it gives us a little bit more of a sense of what's happening across the month without collecting information every single week and then there being a real delay in getting the monthly information out.

So it's it's really only a matter of um weeks of collecting data and then a fraction of time to process uh that, produce statistics, and then release them through the AB.

And that's that's how we approach uh labor force statistics.

Uh we produce more than a hundred labor market releases from the ABS every year.
