I didn't know what evidence they had.

So you're going in blind and it's really hard.

You feel so out of control or something.

And that's a massive thing with like sexual violence.

Control is massive because control has been taken away from you and power.

And then you feel like you're in this situation again where everybody else is in control of a situation.

Everybody else knows what's going on apart from you.

And it's really, yeah, it's horrible.

so like at the start I suppose probably adrenaline is really high at the start so for the first few weeks I was like I'm going to be fine this is fine and like a bit like you know those not cringy but yeah cringy like scenes like

this doesn't define you and like he's taken enough don't let him take your you know all this kind of stuff and I was like yeah that's going to be me and I was like I'm going to be fine like I'm so lucky like you know I got to report it there's plenty of people who don't know who attacked them or all these things

But then it was like slowly but surely I just noticed things changing.

So like one of the first things was my mom brought me to Liffey Valley one day to go shopping.

And I was walking around, a fella walked by me and he obviously had the same aftershave that he had worn that night.

And I just started to, I was like, I have to go and get sick.

And then it'll be things like, you know, so it was all really small things.

Then I noticed that if I went out anywhere, because I was like, I can still go out, you know, this is kind of the first few months.

And I found I'd go into a pub and I'd be fine, but I'd have to sit with my back to a wall.

I'd have to be able to see everybody coming in and out.

I'd watch every guy that a girl was talking to in case I needed to identify him because she had been raped.

I'd look, if there was a girl drunk or something, I'd be like, where are her friends?
