I mean that was the summer of COVID and Black Lives Matter and there was all kind you know, there was all kinds of just everything was charged.

I was gonna ask you, you kinda just laid it out.

I was gonna ask you like how do you grow this thing?

Before we circle back to that.

You were just talking about mindset and you understand that mindset 'cause that's where you came from.

Like that was your statement or some version of that.

I don't know if I brought this up in a previous episode, but I was listening to a podcast and uh the guest was a a former bank robber.

And so he was talking about how he how he did it, how he got into it.

But he talked a lot about how he thought about his life and I'd never

considered this, kinda opened my eyes because when we were growing up

When we looked around, here's what I saw.

I saw both my grandparents lived into their upper eighties and into their nineties.

They were married one time for well over fifty years.

Our parents had a strong marriage.

They've been married

You know, fifty fifty fifty some odd years now.

Uh they lived long lives in committed relationships within strong families that loved each other and cared for each other.

That's what normal looked like for me.

And so when I was making decisions growing up, I was making them with a mindset of a long future.
