All I know is from watching all the media that I've seen in TV and film and all these things, it's people, when they like each other, they want to have sex, they just have sex instantly on the spot.
It's easy and everyone does it.
And so I just thought it would be the same for me.
I had no real reason to think it wouldn't be that way.
Why would you?
Exactly.
Nothing had told me that, that it wouldn't.
Until myself and my partner, we decided we wanted to have sex and I went to try and have sex and I couldn't, I couldn't penetrate.
And at that time I had no, again, I had no knowledge, no understanding, but basically my foreskin was not able to retract.
That was the fundamental, that was the factual part of it.
But I didn't even know that was, I didn't even know that was part of it.
I didn't know any, anything about that.
You know, when I wrote my article, obviously there was a lot of sadness amongst my family and some of my close friends.
My parents particularly were very, very hard.
They took a lot of it on themselves.
My dad particularly, because he felt that he hadn't educated me and he hadn't had those conversations.
And as I say to him, look, I don't hold any, you know, anger towards him, but he didn't.
Like, we didn't talk about that.
So I didn't know anything about it.
So as I attempted to maybe try and penetrate, the pain came straight away.
