Every year at the end of the year, I get rid of 80% of the things I did last year.
Those 80% of things are not good enough to make it on my calendar for the next year.
My assistant will not let them on the calendar.
There was one thing got on the calendar the other day that I said, how did that get on my calendar?
She goes, yeah, I know I made a mistake.
I was like, dang it.
You know, I still got to do it.
We agreed to do it.
So I had to do it sort of thing.
But you've got to get rid of everything.
the fluff, the stupid stuff.
Stop dealing with small customers.
Stop dealing with this, that.
Get rid of the dumb things.
Success is not about what you start in most cases.
It's about the things you stop.
If I look at someone who's not succeeding, the first thing I do is don't give them new things.
I tell them to stop things.
Elimination is the fastest route to success.
Because if you eliminate the dumb stuff, amazingly, you do more of the successful stuff.
