And he creates the drink that we are, or I am holding at least, called the Saturn.

Popo
was an active West Coast bartender and a serious competition guy, all right?
He spent years working at California bars and entering competitions, especially through the California Bartenders Guild.
He's credited by modern cocktail historians as the inventor of the Saturn.
By 1967, we can see the Saturn in the historical record under that name.
It's tied directly to Popo.
