But um that's when I started taking them for recovery.
So it's kind of just been this uh theme over the last few years of like this development of, oh, this may be like a super, you know, interesting application of ketones.

Yeah, and this is a whole new I I think it's an area that people really need to be aware of and and sort of understand
We're separating now the effects of ketones sort of as a an a a direct fuel because ketones can be used by skeletal muscle, brain, the heart as a source of energy.
But this field is kind of investigating them for a different reason as signaling molecules.
Obviously, you can't never fully separate the fuel effects from the signaling effects, but in a way it's we're not saying
If you take ketones, do they give you more energy and allow you to like exercise harder or longer?
It's you know, what are they doing in the body after exercise, during exercise to help you adapt better?
Um, so with that being said, why don't we go into the methods of this study?
I think the methodology was pretty cool.
Um, you know, they had 17, I believe it was 17 participants in the study.
So not a huge study, but again with
exercise training studies like this and whatnot, um, especially with like a professional cycling team, you're not gonna get hundreds of participants.
But uh let's break down the study methods, uh if you wouldn't mind and talk about what they did, kind of the different control arms, the intervention arms in the study.
Yeah, the the reoxygenation rate is probably one of the more interesting measurements.
Like what's the what's the significance of that for say
Exercise recovery if people are kind of interested in like
the reoxygenation, like is this is this test applicable?
