It's often a good idea.

You know, people who hold secrets, it can be eating away at them and they long to share them.

They long to tell somebody but feel that they can't.

So creating a space and an opportunity for that is important.

Forcing it is impossible.

so that you need to allow people to not say things, to say them slowly, to reveal them gradually, if that is the case.

And look, time might run out.

It just mightn't happen.

So sort of revelation and disclosure are not always the most important thing in a relationship, certainly disclosing facts.

I think it's good to focus on themes and meaning rather than necessarily facts like, you know, what happened to this grand aunt or that grand uncle.

There might be reasons why that's not being told and the person may never come to a point where they want to share it.

But looking at, you know...

Meaning.

Striving.

Working, creating a family and all of this.

But then the second half of life in Young's view is when it became a little more interesting because you began to search for patterns, to search for meanings and ask what was it all about?

And at that point, that is a good time maybe to have these conversations.

Precisely.

And be okay with that.

We have to be okay with that.
