Look, you know, most human behaviour is shaped by feelings and not facts.
And when we go in search of secrets, we tend to look for facts.
But the way to get there is through feelings.
So, for example, let's say there is a relative that you never really knew what happened to them, where they went, what they were like.
The question really is, what were they like?
What kind of a person were they?
You know, what was your impression of them?
How did you feel around them?
Rather than necessarily saying, where did they live?
When did they leave?
What happened to them?
So approaching it through feelings is a much more, a much richer way of finding the real story rather than getting
It does come with age, for sure, because there's a time in life, say, in your 30s and 40s, when you're so intensely involved in things that genuinely do matter week to week.
So earning money, you know, maybe looking after children, paying rent or paying a mortgage, it's very intense.
And those are the years of unhappiness, generally speaking, the low point of...
human happiness is mostly in middle age and things begin to pick up after that if you remain in good health.
And when you're in the white heat of all those things happening, it is difficult to have the perspective that tends to come in later life.
But that's why it's so important to hear it.
And that's why it's so important to be reminded that this period will pass and that not only are other people not judging you, they barely know you're there and are paying you zero attention, even though it feels like they're paying you a lot of attention.
