And that could be the chronic care patients that we deal with who have diabetes.

or they're dealing with more complex and rarer situations.

So our clinicians and the programs that we have around that are a primary reason why people will hire the Cigna Group.

And the final reason is we do benefits administration and all the complex so-called paperwork that's part of the healthcare system as well.

So those are the three reasons fundamentally why people hire us.

We aspire for there to be a fourth,

And that's specifically that the patients we serve see us as a trusted, indispensable advisor to them.

Some do today, but not all do.

And so we aspire to have that fourth pillar

is something that the Cigna Group's known for and why people come to us instead of others.

Now, we have some work to do to get to that point, but ultimately we see a world where technology, advanced analytics, and AI can create more personalized care journeys and can have consumer expectations met such that they're going to their employer and saying, I really want to be part of the Cigna Group's coverage rather than a competitor.

That's our aspiration.

Across the Cigna Group, we have a variety of different businesses that have various clinical experts.

And if you add it all up, it's thousands of MDs, it's thousands of nurse practitioners, we have about a thousand pharmacists, and then we have a variety of pharmatechs and other clinical designations as well.

And so that's something that's really important to us because we can partner with

with the doctors who are rendering the care, partner with the hospitals and the pharmacies where people are actually experiencing the healthcare system and using all the data that we have to make their care journeys better.

And so we have clinicians who play the role of connecting oftentimes multiple specialists in the PCP.

And in our pharmacy business, one of the most important things we do from a patient safety standpoint is make sure that there are no unexpected interactions of drugs that are taken.

Because across the U.S., there are 70 million people that take four prescriptions or more per month.
