But some of the like monsters that you encounter, spoiler, the flood, they got more and more interesting as the series evolved.
So, you know, by Halo 3, they're way more formidable.
You've got these giant sort of flood tank forms.
Well, now we're able to kind of put those back in and sort of bring that level of flood back to where it all began, which makes the whole experience level up pretty significantly.
Yeah.
It's funny because the team has talked about it at times.
It's kind of like an 80s kind of buddy cop.
We haven't had Sarge in our lives in a long time either, so it's really great to have.
And we certainly haven't seen this side of Sarge before, and it's a fan favorite.
So it's a new story.
I like that, by the way, that you mentioned that you played it first because not everybody realizes that.
It's totally separate.
You can choose to start the legacy missions.
You can choose to jump right into what's Operation Meteorite, which is what these three new missions are called.
And just to reiterate, too, because the team had such reverence and did not want to, like, stomp on the original game, carved out a separate space that can just be its own moment that doesn't change the story that really is at the heart of the original combat evolved.
I just want to add, too, like you mentioned the Brood Spikers.
So, yes, it became an opportunity to introduce some characters and some enemies that maybe wouldn't have come until later in the franchise.
Yeah.
You don't have to know your way around Halo 2 or know the story that comes later, but if you do, you're going to see some extra fan service because there's new levels of foreshadowing and some narrative layers that, oh, wait, this is leading up to that thing that might have happened later.
But at the end of the day, it's just about using the sandbox to its full extent, introducing a new sort of section of the Covenant called the Sacristan.
