well there's Celtic fans there's a big turnover of players coming at Celtic no doubt about it so obviously you need to get work on on the training field with them pre-season obviously they need to start the season well and then they'll have that qualifier but when it's a new squad of players coming in try to bed them in extremely quick it's hard and obviously you've seen what happened last year with the Champions League with Celtic the fans weren't particularly happy that can't happen again obviously he's speaking about there James about the 40 million whatever it is Celtic get if they get into the Champions League it's a lot of money to
and Celtic board will be wanting it so there must be things going on in the background but we obviously not knowing right now what's happening as I said to you earlier I thought there would have been something mentioned Tuesday an update from the board to say right this is the route we're going down it hasn't happened so who knows what's going to happen James what camp are you lying in when it comes to the Celtic manager do you think Martin O'Neill should get the job do you think Celtic maybe need to go down another path second path
I think if Martin O'Neill turns around and says to Celtic I'd like to stay for another year I think Celtic can keep him because what he's done has been incredible coming in over these two spells this year and getting them the cup double I don't think that would have happened if it wasn't Martin O'Neill if I'm being truly honest with you the way he's motivated these players to go and win those last seven games and then go and win the Scottish Cup final I think if Martin O'Neill turns around and says no I want the job then I think he gets it
but in my opinion, I said on Saturday, I don't think he'll be the Celtic manager going out in the next year, I might be wrong, but I just feel, listen, about his age, 74 years of age, when we go into the winter, he's standing there for 90 minutes, whatever minus degrees it could be, I don't think that's very fair on him, but listen, if he's 74 and he feels fit enough to do it, then I can't really say anything about that, that's Martin O'Neill's decision to make, but I would just feel for him at that age, with that kind of weather conditions, I don't feel he should be
I think what he did at Celtic was absolutely incredible but once he goes down to those bigger jobs and gets those bigger wages he wins a European Cup I think he's looking at the bigger picture Hans Postekoglu listen Celtic are a fantastic club massive club in Scotland but down south it's a different ball game and obviously it didn't go too well for him when he went to Nottingham Forest I believe he'll probably try and
I'm not so sure if I'm being honest.
I know there was a lot of talk about Roberto Martinez coming over.
Obviously he was Belgian manager as well.
Celtic, as I mentioned, Celtic are a wonderful football club in Scotland.
Do people want to come here and get the baggage?
You've seen what happened to Wilfred Nancy when things don't go particularly well.
I know that was probably a one-off.
That's never happened really before after a couple of games and you're back out the door.
But that was the nature of the league this year.
It was so crazy, so unpredictable.
A lot of things happening.
But, listen, that's us just throwing names out here because we don't know.
We're having a stab in the dark here.
Celtic pulled.
Listen, I think they already know who they want to have in the door and there'll probably be talks ongoing in the background.
