Is it now, never will be, but you may as well choose your suffering.
I'm like, if you're someone that wants that is overweight, or you're someone that deals with anxiety, or you're someone that's got environmental depression because your life is set up in a shit way, it's like, all right, cool.
You can choose that to be your suffering, or you can choose an alternative path.
You can choose to set up an environment so that you feel better.
You can choose to focus your energy and attention into setting
These challenges for yourself so that you're not living in this state of self-imposed anxiety, or you can choose to make better food choices or find a training program that works for you so that you're not overweight.
I'm like, you can choose your suffering, you know, and I'm not going to sit here and lecture people on, you know, you should do this, that, or the other.
All I'm saying is that life is difficult and you're going to get suffering that you may as well fucking choose which one you're going to.
And as someone that's reaped the benefits out the other side, who thank
Touch wood doesn't suffer from those mental health issues much anymore because I felt I've found either strategies that help me deal with it and setting challenges and focuses and setting challenges and focusing on things that make me mentally tougher and mentally stronger, make me better equipped to deal with it.
You know, I always tell people mental health from someone that's experienced it is a lot like sweeping the floor.
I'm like, you can sweep the floor today and
all your problems and it'll be clean, it'll go away.
But if you don't do it every day, your floor's gonna get dirty again.
I'm like your mental health is the same.
I'm like you can do a run today or you can do a training session today or you can do this thing today.
But if you don't do it continuously and consistently over time
those problems are going to come back.
So that's something I try and stay on top of.
And as a result of that, it helps with my mental training and definitely helped me with my mental training for this hundred mile run.
