And that's really what the futures market in oil is telling us.
Yeah, I'm not sure.
I don't know.
It sounds plausible to me.
Yeah.
But certainly this has been a massive, massive shock.
And as I said, it's not going to be something which is going to be resolved really, really quickly.
And it's exposed a whole bunch of, I think, vulnerabilities in our economy as well.
You know –
And you've already sort of touched on it a little bit that, you know, we are so heavily reliant on imported fuel.
And not only that, reliant on imported final product.
So our refining capacity, we've only got two refineries in the country operating.
because it hasn't proven to be economic for a whole range of countries, including Australia, to do our own refining.
It's just a hell of a lot cheaper to get it done in Asia and have it shipped down here than to actually have the refining capacity here.
And that's really a decision that's been taken purely on cost, or should I say a narrow definition of cost, many, many years ago.
Yes.
Yeah, that's basically the call that was made, and it was based on a very, very narrow definition of cost.
It was basically – and by narrow definition of cost, what I'm effectively trying to say there is there was no proper, I'll say, risk overlay.
In other words –
In a world where everyone's happy to do business, it's relatively geopolitically stable, you can buy and sell stuff between countries.
