And then
I just loved it so much I started a podcast and the rest is history.
Yes.
So I've, again, when you do 1200 podcasts, you get to listen to a lot of stories, founders, a lot of CEOs out of Silicon Valley.
And the short answer is they optimize for scale, but they don't solve for that business sustainability piece.
And that's the short answer.
There's a lot of things I can unpack here, but just to keep it brief,
The pattern is predictable.
A founder of an executive found something that works.
They found a gap in the market.
They do really well at it, whether it's go to market.
They chase that growth aggressively.
Then around about that, what I've seen is about that 200 to 500 employee range, or maybe they're raising money, that B or C series.
Things kind of shift and start to fall apart, and they aren't sure what that is.
But that's probably the big one.
I would also say,
And founders, you know, they sometimes treat culture as infrastructure and really not treating it like the operating system.
So they've told me many times, you know, the ping pong tables, you've heard it all.
And the free drinks all day, that's not going to do it.
It's really got to be embedded in the company's DNA at that operating level.
