They don't give a shit.
They don't give a shit about process.
They don't give a shit about like the intricacies of government that I feel like legacy media doesn't not know how to cover.
And I get it.
It's a 24 hour news cycle on these channels.
And so they have to talk about something.
And if there's a filibuster fight, then they're going to talk about the filibuster fight.
If there's, you know,
some whatever if there's a bill advancing and they have to talk about how it how like the the process by which it gets there the mechanics by which it gets there you got to fill time but i think what we're able to do in this space is focus on on the bigger picture and advocate for something that people want which is just some outcomes and and like like i said at the top like we we shouldn't be in government to protect the processes of government
I think that's like this DC brain that just pervades all of these people who get into office.
It should just be about figuring out what you have to do to deliver outcomes for people.
are not able to afford housing and rent and groceries and utility bills and healthcare bills, and so figure out how to get that shit done.
And I think Trump, to his credit, and there's very little I'll give him credit for, but he's figured out that the...
institutions of government are not as sacrosanct as we've made them out to be, and has figured out how to barrel through these things to get what he wants.
Now, he's done it in a way that he can enrich himself.
Right.
I mean, he is focused on him, on padding his own bottom line, on making sure that he triples his net worth, on encrusting the Oval Office in gold, and building his ballroom that he can party in, an arch that he can cement his legacy, you name it.
We have to be able to barrel through these institutions and processes and norms to deliver for people because people don't care about the norms.
They don't give a shit about the parliamentarian.
They don't give a shit about the filibuster.
