They're doing the best deal for them.
You need to make sure somebody's in your corner doing the best deal for you.
Here's what typically happens.
You have a business that's super successful and whatever industry it is, I don't care.
Most of these PE guys are doing roll-ups right now, right?
They're not buying you because they want your company.
They're buying you because they want to roll up 10 companies in your industry, create something 10 times bigger because while they may give you a 10 multiple, if it's 10 times bigger, they can do a 20 multiple, right?
So they know every time they bring on a secondary company onto whatever platform they've got, their multiple goes up.
So they might buy you for a 10 multiple by adding you to the platform.
It's now worth 12 overall.
