Starting with an experimentation, and I would probably start with cannabis, but I would watch very carefully what the consequences are because the devil is always in the detail on these things.
You don't want to increase dramatically teenage juice because there also are links between cannabis and psychosis, for example.
So I wouldn't take it lightly.
We also need to put much more pressure on the Chinese, on that supply.
It's one of the things maybe I might agree with him on.
But I think on the evidence, the evidence is actually mixed.
That's the problem.
There isn't hard, clear, compelling evidence on a lot of this.
And the danger is when you enter a discussion then is that people resort to the evidence that supports their opinion as opposed to being evidence led.
What would you think about two-year degrees?
No.
And I'll tell you why.
Young people, and it's mostly young people who do degrees, they go to college for lots of reasons.
And I have to tell you, I have had thousands of students through my hands.
And the youngsters you get in in first year are not the people who graduate three years.
In fact, you see the most BA degrees are three, not four, four years later.
they also learn to think, they learn to write, they learn to meet deadlines, they learn to network.
You do a lot more teamwork now in degrees.
But also, degrees involving engagement with work are much more common now than they used to be.
And for example, I'm a product of Limerick, where I did co-op education in the 1970s.
