But I also was not going to take any little thing and try and become part of a narrative until I actually had my own personal experiences.
Because first off, my main job is to make sure that the people that are here are safe, that the equipment stays safe.
And so if I'm always jumping at every twig that breaks or
peering at the sky, looking for something to happen, you know, that takes away from that ability.
And I didn't want to be, I didn't want to fill my mind necessarily with all sorts of things that would hamper my ability to do that.
But again, if I have an experience, then, you know, I know that it's something that I will 100% stand behind and
And I know that it will be genuine and true because I'm not just going to start making stuff up just because I happen to be associated with a place that has a history of that.
Um, well, you can't help it, right?
Because you hear stories and your mind is the most powerful thing that you have for good and for bad, I would say.
You know, in the beginning, because it took a long time for me to have any kind of experience on Skinwalker Ranch.
But, you know, even just the ranch itself, it can be a bit of a creepy place without all the lore.
But then you mix those stories in that you hear about, you know, portals and these dire wolf creatures and, you know...
all sorts of shapeshifters and the whole score, the whole lore of the skinwalker and everything like that, sure.
I definitely would have had some trepidation of being by myself for, say, like you mentioned, a month time camping out in the middle of the ranch, given that back history.
Now, if it was just a piece of property that I didn't know anything about, then I probably wouldn't have had a problem with it because I enjoy time in the outdoors like that.
Yeah, I'd had a couple of small experiences prior to that.
I mean, I've had a lot of times where, I mean, I guess you could call it an experience, but not necessarily seeing something.
There are times the ranch feels almost like, it almost feels like a place that has a bit of a split personality, if you will.
I don't know if that makes sense, but some days on the ranch, it is the most peaceful, amazing place.
