This book is gracious.
It doesn't strike us as lightning, it falls as gentle rain.
The vulnerable God is a sustained meditation on the implications of the incarnation.
And it draws regularly upon ancient Christian theologians and pastors.
But it's not.
The But Tanner does it in such a way that Origen and Athanasius and others
feel bracingly contemporary.
Bracingly contemporary.
Isn't that interesting?
So he's drawn on these ancient, ancient writers from the first century of the church.
And this was their number one.
Quandary.
And profundity of who is the person of Jesus.
And by drawing on that ancient truth about the incarnation.
Uh, he shows us how to be twenty first century humans.
I I love this book.
I love the cover.
I think it's gonna be a great one.
