So you have all different kind of people in here.

Uh obviously St.

Francis.

But people like Tolstoy.

You have people like Gandhi, Muhammad Gandhi, the Hindu that fought tried to follow Jesus' nonviolence and said Christians should be better at following Jesus, even though he himself never bowed the knee to Jesus' worship.

Uh Roland Allen, Father Damien, the great famous uh uh uh missionary to lepers, he looks at William Wilberforce, for instance, that fought slavery, you know, in England uh in the slave trade.

So in all of these different chapters, you learn something not about sort of how the church has presented Jesus, but more how he has inspired people down through time.

Uh, you got uh Japanese Christians, you've got uh the people that serve the poor, you've got people that were filled with the Holy Spirit, you have uh political leaders and stuff down through time.

So these are British, there's no contemporary American people in here.

These are all great classic people who have been inspired by the person and work of Jesus.

So that's the third part.

The fourth part is called, get this, it's called the eternal Jesus, and it's a study of how Jesus is presented.

in the book of Revelation.

So in a way, it's not exactly a commentary on Revelation, but the ten visions of Revelation about the person of Jesus.

And so that could be a separate book in and of itself as well.

So we learn about the original Jesus from the gospels.

We learn about how Jesus was present through church history, a mystic or a savior or a social reformer, whatever it was, how they presented just different aspects of who Jesus was.

And then people that were inspired by him, whose lives were impacted by him, and then who we know to be.

As the eternal reigning lamb who was slain but will return.

So here are four different ways to get into the story of Jesus, four different angles of vision.
