Who brings something to the table about our understanding of who Jesus is that we can learn from as they bring a particular insight into the person and work of Jesus.
So if the first were the New Testament letters and gospels about Jesus, the original Jesus, this is how the church has interpreted Jesus and carried his message forward in ways that we can now appreciate by knowing these things.
About Jesus that these great leaders, for better or for worse, good or bad, complete or incomplete, some of them had some piece of the puzzle.
And so as we listen to the ecclesiastical Jesus, we can know him better by understanding more about him.
by how these theologians and writers and poets and mystics have all talked about him over time.
That's a great, great unit right there.
And it would be a great Sunday school class just to study these folks that he tells you about there.
The third section is called the influential Jesus.
If the ecclesiastal Jesus tells you sort of how Jesus was presented historically.
You know how different people spoke about him and what they brought to the table teaching us about him.
Um, this third part is is I guess you would say people whose lives were transformed by him or inspired by him.
