So if I don't know how you organize your work, let's say I'm your boss.
I don't know how you organize your work.
I don't know what's on your plate.
If there's something that comes into my world that I need done, it's a source of stress for me as long as I have to keep track of it.
So if I ask you like, hey, can you do this?
Knowing nothing else, I would rather you just do it right away.
Because until you do it, I'm just going to have to remember it because I don't know what's happening over there.
If on the other hand, you say, sure, here it is, it's in position four, and you can watch and I'll let you know as soon as it gets into the active lift, that solves the same problem for me.
I don't have to worry about it anymore.
And that's ultimately the problem you're solving for other people is taking off their plate the stress of having to keep track of something that will otherwise be forgotten.
If you take that stress off your plate, their plate, they're happy.
So they only need an immediate response or immediate action if they feel as if I'm going to have to keep keeping track of this until it gets done.
So when you get more transparent about your workloads, it's surprising like, oh, I can actually take some more time.
I can do things one at a time.
I can reduce the administrative overhead.
I can be much more structured about my work.
A lot of options open up.
Yeah, but I would never emphasize what you're not going to do.
Just emphasize what you're doing that makes their life easy.
Like, yeah, happy to do this.
