And also, if you're organized in your workday, because you get all these advantages for being organized about, I keep track of what I'm working on, its status.

I make it transparent for other people who care.

I plan at multiple scales.

That definitely helps outside of your workday because it lowers the amount of cognitive cycles and stress you have to use just to get the things done that you have to do.

So definitely being organized outside of your work life and like the way you are in your work life, that makes a big difference.

Really young people often say, I don't want to be that organized outside of work because I just want to live my life and that's so constraining.

And then you get the middle age and you get a bunch of kids and you're like, organize me out.

I am pulling my hair out here.

I can't keep track of who's carpooling.

I want AR goggles like in Minority Report moving around schedules to figure out who's dropping off lunch for who.

It's funny how that changes as your life outside of work gets more complicated.

You're like, no, no, no, no.

This is not Bohemia anymore.

Give me a little bit of structure or I'm going to go crazy.

I do, though I will say when I think about tech and organization, I think system comes first, and then you go find a tool to implement it, and the tools often aren't that exciting.

So I'm not a big believer that a tool can save you.

In fact, I'm really wary of complicated tools, right?

So I make heavy use of digital calendars.

It's not that exciting.
