Let me ask you a last question. If Mr. Kennedy is confirmed. Maha, the Make America Healthy Again movement, is very close to being inside the system, maybe even in a couple of years being the system. And some people might say, well, that's when the work gets really hard, right? It's easier to be an outsider than it is to be an insider.
Do you have any thoughts on that, on what it might be like for this, at the moment, outsider movement to operate on the inside? Do you think it'll be tough?

Before we go, you heard Callie say that the health care industry is the biggest in America. In fact, the biggest industry in America is quite hard to determine when you get right down to it. The biggest funder of academic research is not, as he said, the health care industry. It is, in fact, the federal government.
Regulators and media do get a lot of money from the health care industry, but it is not their biggest funder. And now, a note from our funders.
In the first half of the show, we talked to Callie Means, who's an advisor to RFK Jr. And Callie told us that Americans will agree on much of what he is saying, that as a population, we are sicker more often than we should be for longer than we should be. What do you think of the points that he makes?
Let's say that RFK is confirmed and he is the new leader. He is the new head of the Department of Health and Human Services. What does he want to do to that agency? What has he said?

Uh, initially what I saw is the discussions you were having about ultra processed food, not being part of the solution light, which I think is very important part is more of a scientific thing. So that's when I initially, about a month ago, I mean, there's definitely been frankly more personal things, which we can talk about as much as we want.
I think the science part is interesting too, but I hit you up before seeing a lot of the personal attacks still wanted to do this. I mean, I think a lot of people are skeptical. Um, this was your idea to engage on the right. And I've been chatting with Mary about various things in good faith, I think. But yes, their personal attacks are what it is. We can talk about that as much as you want.
Okay, okay. But I think there's a massive moment in the country right now where I think we probably all agree that there's a historic opportunity to maybe reset the agenda on health. I think there's great opportunity.
Yeah, I think there's great opportunity and great cynicism.
There's an opportunity in this country right now, in my opinion, to talk about the holistic poisoning of the American people.
So I'm going to tell you what my story is and how I see this opportunity and what I've been doing. And you guys can tell me if you disagree or agree and we can go from there if that works. Okay. So my mom, as you know, died. You've been talking about my mom.
And I believe that she is a product of what's happening in general to Americans, to the average American, which is we have a holistic set of hijacking of ourselves and mitochondria. And in our book, we talk a lot about over pharmaceuticals and the corruption of the pharmaceutical industry.
And I think the mandates and vaccines and what happened during COVID, as I've said for years, is one of the greatest scandals in American history. I think COVID was the single worst public policy mistake of my lifetime. and that includes the mandates on the vaccines. That includes the lockdowns that set a generation of kids back.
It's absolutely a war crime, and I think we're going to be dealing with that for a generation and still unpacking it. And there was a wild report that came out just a couple days ago. I think my mom and kids and the average American, I think their circadian rhythm is being hijacked. I think light is a huge issue. It's something that we talked about in the book an entire chapter.
