And I just didn't want to do ice baths and, you know, the leadership meetings and, you know, you get the 17-year-old in who's, you know, he's gone out too late and just all that rubbish.

I was sick of it all, Whitey.

And my form had dropped a little bit.

So I just thought it was time.

And obviously the pay is a lot different than back in the mid-2000s.

So there's a lot more reasons to carry on.

So those conversations, and sometimes it's just a direct one.

We've been friends a long time.

My first year, I had an issue.

I had Dean Cox and Nat Nui, which is not a bad issue.

But young Scott Lycett was coming through.

And Scotty Lycett couldn't quite see that he had 10 more years of football and Dean Cox was 32.

You know, he was battle-weary, but there's no way I was dropping him.

And, yeah, I had this difficult scenario in the last five or six weeks where I had to give Scotty some games, otherwise he's going to leave.

It was sort of a little bit of that going on.
