It was a crazy humid season.

hot day in Cleveland when he pitched.

So I think you're still seeing Garrett Cole not at his full self, but you've seen glimpses from him in the handful of starts that he's had since coming back from Tommy John surgery.

That leaves you extremely encouraged.

One thing we've seen, he's going with more of an over-the-head windup.

That's a little bit of a different look.

He's not straight fastball velocity all the time.

He kind of varies that speed of that fastball, reaches back when he really needs to.

He hasn't been throwing his cutter at all this year.

That's pretty much by design coming back from TJ.

There's some thought that maybe that puts a bit more strain on his arm.

So his repertoire may be a little bit different in the way that he's using it this year.

But I think at the end of the day, you're still seeing Garrett Cole, even when he's struggling on the mound, he's giving you a quality start, keeping the team in it, allowing them to go to work offensively.

and um and get the job done so it'll be fun you know you never know when a guy's coming back from injury guys like how he is going to feel from start to start how he's going to adjust when the batters adjust to him and how he's going to hold up throughout the course of the season but really with cole it's been so far so good with the exception of a little bit of a hiccup uh rodan and weathers weathers has had a home run problem so

That's something that the Yankees are trying to correct and correct fast, especially with two strikes.

He's had issues.

So that's one guy where when Max free does come back, you wonder what they're going to do with their rotation and exactly where he lands, whether it remains, he remains in that rotation and winds up in the bullpen.

But for now he'll remain in that rotation.

So you'll see a former White Sox and Carlos Rodan in game two.

And then Ryan Weathers to round things out should be a fun series.
