Appearances
No doubt.
You know, in his first year as a Yankee, he will admit he was not his best self.
He got hurt during spring training.
I believe he had a hamstring injury, came back a little late, probably tried to do too much, signing a big free agent deal, wanting to go out there and prove that worth.
And man, did he struggle and did the fans let him hear it?
But I give Carlos Rodon a ton of credit.
He went back to the drawing board.
in the off season came back in year two and really, really proved his worth and why the Yankees wanted to sign him.
And when he first came guys and throughout his career, he was really just fastball slider guy, but now he's added to that repertoire and he's not totally dependent on only those two pitches.
It's made him a much more well-rounded pitcher and it's allowed him a little bit more grace when he doesn't have one of those to still be able to get guys out.
So first year little rough since then he's been solid.
Man, he was just, he fits so well at Yankee Stadium.
And take a look at the home and road splits with him.
His home numbers are outstanding.
Road, not quite as good.
Aaron Boone will say to you, hey, that's going to even out.
I don't really buy that that's what it's going to be at the end of the season.
But he'll admit he loves hitting here at Yankee Stadium.
And one of the fun things with Cody Bellinger, especially with men on base and two strikes,
The way he just finds a way to put the ball in play, get the job done.
