So the journey started like, yes, I wanna do this.
Then I got scared and just about quit.
And then in that place of boldness, that was the turning point.
Once you do that, once you're with clients, your clients recommend you to other people and then it just takes off on its own.
I don't know if you've noticed that as well, Jermaine, but I get a ton of business from referrals.
I have amazing people that I work with and of course they know amazing people and they send them my way.
So that is really how I did it.
Basically a word of mouth business once I had taken that bold step.
Yeah, yeah, definitely.
And I know, so this might not quite fit in here, but one of the things that really held me back when I was starting is the mindset piece of, I had two worries.
One is, what will my current senior leaders think of me that I'm
creating a business.
So that sort of held me back.
I was scared to post on social media because I didn't want the senior VP to see what was happening and sort of read something into my actions.
So there was that.
I was nervous to start.
The second is that I was worried about being a successful high achiever.
To start new, to start something new, it's really hard to let go of that identity.
It's hard to let go of the identity of senior director who oversees this big thing, right?
To, I'm a coach, I have a solopreneur business, right?
