I think the challenge that we're starting to see, though, which is kind of this interesting eye-opening moment for the industry as a whole, is that as instant payments have been operating 24-7, and you say, okay, great, right?
There's better liquidity control that's available around the clock.
In some of the clients that we deal with, they love it, right?
Finally, why did this take so long?
Now that it's here, we can really benefit from it.
This is great.
Others, right, in the corporate treasury space, right, are probably a little bit more hesitant because, again, right, they're –
systems, processes, et cetera, are not 100% automated.
They still rely on a lot of people to do the day-to-day cash management, treasury functions within their organization.
And they're not built yet to scale in an automated 24-7 capacity.
So it's actually a little bit scary to some of them to think about money movement 24-7 through 65 while they're at home, right, with their families and doing other things.
And they're not constantly plugged in and they don't have the tooling and automation to provide it in a 24-7 environment.
The other thing that I think this is really kind of shining a light on in the industry is payments were the first thing to break through this 24-7 glass ceiling, which are now really opening up a little bit of a, I'll call it a gap and a recognition that the rest of the financial services ecosystem is not operating in a 24-7 environment.
So we have a lot of clients that are using instant payments, cross-border instant global payments 24-7.
And now that more value is moving on nights, weekends, and holidays, the question very quickly turns into, well, what about the liquidity products?
What about the lending products?
What about the other things that are necessary to manage working capital if you're long cash or short cash to be able to invest on a Saturday for a few hours if you're long and so on?
And it's really just putting, I think, a...
the more volume and value that moves into this 24-7 operating model, the wider the gap comes to the rest of that.
And I think that's where it's really the adoption of instant payments and 24-7 processing is really shining a bigger spotlight on that, which is if you look at a lot of the hype and the focus that's really going into now tokenized cash and tokenized deposits and tokenized assets more broadly for tokenized money market funds, tokenized treasuries, and all of the technical and operational things that are kind of building up
