He has a team, so it's not only him, it is Jop that worked with Brett Lee, is this massage therapist and nutritionist.
I don't know if we have the money to bring that into our cricket right away, but I have experienced this is what the guys at county level do day in, day out.
So when you see a guy on the 19 level as an Australian or Englishman versus a guy on the 19 level as a West Indian, the talent is neck and neck.
But then they get 23, 24, and the professionalism takes them so much further past our players that it feels like every year we're falling further and further behind.
That is a long story, but for me, it is can I get in and be close enough to try to influence some change?
I think a lot of it is financial because as much as we don't like to believe it, money makes you worry.
So if we talk about facilities, if you've got more money, the potential is there to have better facilities.
But my thing is, are we using our facilities to the best that we can?
And, you know, just after COVID, I was trying to use the gym
to stay in shape, was playing a lot more then, and I couldn't use the gym for about a month.
And compared that to when I was in England, coming back from injury, Birmingham Bears, our workshop, called Great Calvin, made me captain of the T20.
And I was able to go up to Birmingham three days a week before the season start and be in there 7 a.m.
every day.
By the time the team gets it at 9 a.m., I then do two sets of training, physio, and you're now ready to be a part of the team and do team stuff.
So with the facilities that we have at Kensington Noble, can we have pitches that are always ready?
And always ready don't necessarily mean freshly prepared every day.
There may be a day that you want to replicate a fourth day track.
So the pitch is not as well prepared as a first day pitch.
But there's a level of planning that has gone into it to assure you batting day one stuff today.
So the ball will be swinging around, maybe a little bit of bounce, whatever.
