the people that are the team owners, league owners, whatever the case may be.
So for me, it was just to write to talk about, obviously the business of the sport is sponsorship, franchise being bought, players being bought for the franchise, executing the tournament.
players being paid, you're getting all your money from sponsors, et cetera, but the part that isn't being talked about is you find that players aren't being paid.
So yes, you're getting mixed stuff to these tournaments here, there, and everywhere.
It looks glitzy, it looks glamorous.
My goddaughters always ask me when next I can be home.
They can't wait to annoy me.
I hear they're everywhere, and then I'm not being paid.
Uncle Ricky, you get paid so you can buy toys for us, so you need to get paid.
and it's going a little bit under the radar now and I think the bubble will burst eventually but what you don't want is that the bubble burst and the tournaments that are actually doing good things albeit on a smaller scale are penalised because they've got bad actors so
it was just about me bringing a personal um experience but then also talking about something that was genuine and funny enough there were so many people under it that started to talk about there were agents that were talking about their players not being paid they were cameramen they were tv crew um the people in logistics talking about them not being paid as well so it seems to be a real

This has happened to me, that has happened to me.
And I've reached out to a couple of people to kind of understand what their experience was.
And yet you don't want people starting to think, I don't want to work in cricket because no one pays, because then that devalues the sport that we love and the passion we have for it.
good question i think somebody it need the buck needs to stop somewhere in the short term so it's almost like okay cwa if you're in sanction cpl then every single payment needs to be at you so whether you then ask the franchise owners to pay that into a cwa bank account
and you control the payments which is what happens in PSL or you just know that these guys are accountable and if they run off that you are left standing holding the bill then I think once everyone knows who the buck stops at it puts a little bit of responsibility and accountability towards someone one of the things that
i've been exploring because i would love to have a franchise tournament i would love to run a franchise tour and just do it properly because i know what it can do for players of all ages bringing it to new territories like the cayman um one of the things that i've explored because of a comment under this same
