It is seen as like women's issues are women's issues and men's issues are everyone's issues.

And you see that again and again.

Yeah, it's ridiculous.

I mean, I think part of part of why Yes Dear ended up being what it was.

And again, I didn't I didn't know that it was going to go this way.

But I when I look back at why I wrote it the way that I did, I feel like so much of what's taking place right now feels absurd to me.

Like it's laughable.

It's just ridiculous.

But it is also our lives.

It is really happening.

And I feel like part of yesteryear was almost a catharsis for me of writing something that felt as ridiculous and hyperbolic and silly as the world that we're living in.

But there are also like very real consequences.

Like it's the things that our politicians say are laughable.

They're unbelievably stupid, but they have real weight and consequence.

And you really end up feeling like you are in like this slapstick world.

horror.

And I think that that kind of inspired the way that I was writing in yesteryear.
